Meteosat 9 RGB (HRV / VIS008 / HRV)
Usefull flood detection and monitoring have been done available by MSG SEVIRI instruments. False colours enhancement techniques (RGB) helps to identify flooded areas (dark ones).
The images presented in this page are obtained daily, processing EUMETCAST Metosat-9 data by means of MSG Data Manager and GeoSatSignal (David J. Taylor tools).
The GeoSatSignal job setting, used to obtain false colours images, has been done looking at the very helpfull work "Flooding" (Pirkko Pylkk), available at Eumetsat "MSG Interpretation Guide" page.
