ASCAT 12.5km

The ASCAT Wind Product contains measurements of the wind direction and wind speed at 10 m above the sea surface.
The measurements are obtained through the processing of scatterometer data originating from the ASCAT instrument on EUMETSAT's Metop satellite.

Surface Wind Vector (SeaWinds 25km)

Estimation of wind vectors from Scatterometer data (ASCAT/Seawinds) at 10 m above the sea surface.
The scatterometer wind products coming from the SeaWinds instrument on board the QuikSCAT satellite are processed towards a 25 km product at KNMI for the EUMETSAT OSI SAF.
